We've come back to another piece of the Sage Wolfsong mission: creative expression. What form of expression are you grateful for?
This one should be a no-brainer if you've been following me for a while. [btw, if you're new around here, I'd love to hear from you - drop in the comments and say hi, or join my mailing list for more juicy goodness about a good life with a disability.]
Of course, the form of expression I'm grateful for is writing.
I've worked out a lot of heavy emotion, both positive and negative, in journals, stories, and blog posts. I love reading other peoples' writings in the form of blog posts, articles, social media, and stories. Writing levels the playing field when you're not dealt a great hand, and what I can say in written form is often closer to what's in my heart than what I can make myself say out loud (let alone in front of a camera!).
I'm working on other methods of getting my message out there, but for now, I'm all in where writing is involved. I have big goals related to my writing - many of which I'm woefully behind on this year. But what I write, hopefully, is improving as the year nears its close.
And I have a mission to help others struggling with life challenges to learn to recreate their story through writing.
