What'dya know? "What knowledge are you grateful for today?"
I. Am. Enough.
That's it. I'm grateful to know that no matter what happens, no matter what I'm faced with, I am enough. I have all I need inside of myself to come through it more or less unscathed. Yeah, it might hurt for a while. I might be fatigued to hell and back. But I am enough to get through it.
Sometimes, a few adjectives help. A lot.
Sometimes, I change this up to something like, "I am strong enough," or, "I am brave enough."
When I'm editing a manuscript, and my inner editor is screaming and shooting nails at me, it's more like, "I am smart enough and creative enough to fix this."
Yeah, a little positive self-talk goes a long way when you have a traitorous body and a rebellious, depressed mind.
You there. Sitting in your comfy chair, wishing your life was different because your body and/or mind have rebelled against you. This is for you:
I want you to know something today.
You. Are. Enough.
Just as you are. You have all you need inside yourself to accomplish something great with your life.
You just have to dig around and find the spark - your mission in life. Then take hold of that spark and breath life into it. Light your own fire.
You don't need the perfect mate.
You don't need another $50,000.
You don't need an audience of millions.
You don't need to write a bestseller.
Because you are enough. Just as you are.
You are perfect, just the way you are.
Hold onto that. Remind yourself of this when you feel like you're at the bottom and there's nowhere to go.
Yeah, sometimes we need a cheering squad.
If you don't have one, reach out to me. I'm all over social media (just follow the buttons at the bottom of the page), and I'm here to listen and perhaps give you a little, tough-love kick in the pants to remind you that you are enough.
