Gratitude - Talents and Skills

Gratitude - Talents and Skills

The timing of the writing of this particular post isn't lost on me, as I've been distracted by the looming specter of Imposter Syndrome. Why would anyone want to work with me? I'm just...

Gratitude - Expression

Gratitude - Expression
I've worked out a lot of heavy emotion, both positive and negative, in journals, stories, and blog posts. I love reading other peoples' writings in the form of blog posts, articles, social media, and stories. Writing levels the playing field when you're not dealt a great hand, and what I can say in written form is often closer to what's in my heart than what I can make myself say out loud (let alone in front of a camera!).

Gratitude - Challenges

Gratitude - Challenges

Challenges spur growth, but they can be pretty damn hard at times. What challenges are you grateful for?

When you live with a disability, every day can feel like an insurmountable challenge. Things as basic as taking a shower can wipe you out completely. You'd think it'd be difficult to find a challenge in all that that I could be grateful for.

Gratitude - Music

Gratitude - Music

Music is a huge part of my life.

I use it to lift my mood when I'm in a depression cycle. I use it to motivate me to get moving or to slow down when I stretch. I belt out tunes with Daughter when we're in the car (and sometimes, just because we can in my office). I use it for energy healing and sleep.

Gratitude - Art

Gratitude - Art

Picasso or DaVinci? What piece of art are you most grateful for?

Art comes in many flavors and forms, but there's one piece in particular that really sparks my thinking and reminds me that it's okay to be imperfect.
