Weekly Wisdom - Hare

This week's wisdom card comes from the Druid Animal Oracle by Philip and Stephanie Carr-Gomm (Affiliate link. You can read more about how I use these on my About page, here).

We are just past the half-way point of the year, and this week's card brings us back to mindfulness where fertility and abundance is concerned.

"As the year unfolds, look to your inner reserves and creativity to see the reality of the abundance that is yours. Listen to the wisdom deep within yourself, and carefully sift through the plenitude of advice that comes at you constantly - it is not all useful or wise.

In the abundance of summer, reconnect with the Universe. Find your stride, living in both the visible, physical realm and the unseen, subconscious world of the Divine through ritual and daily practice."

Hare brings us the following themes:

  • Balance and intuition
  • Promise and fulfillment
  • Shape-shifting and changing to blend into our surroundings
  • Hare is a creature of the Goddess, of moon and night, but is also a representative of the dawn, brightness and the East
  • Represents rebirth, fertile abundance and willing release as creative cycles come to an end.
